- VIDEO -

Below you'll find the video work that I've done. Each with a brief description and summary of the software I used. Most of these are the introduction videos to the Pegasus Ball.

2009 Pegasus Ball Intro - "Cowboy Serenade"

Once I selected the music and edited it down appropriately; each corresponding note was drawn and photoshop styles were applied to make them look similar to the treble clef in the official logo. Those photoshop files were then imported into After Effects and animated individually to sync with the music. That animation was then paired with the CGI footage that was created 100% within VUE7 EXTREME.

2008 Pegasus Ball Intro - "Twenty Years of Horse Power"

This intro is the only one that is Roundup specific; it actually doesn't acknowledge the Pegasus Ball at all. The reason being is that this year was more of a celebration of our 20th Anniversary and I took it as an opportunity to showcase all of the program covers over the years. Aside from some basic audio editing and compositing the final footage in AFTER EFFECTS, most of this was done strictly within VUE7 EXTREME.

NOTE: There is about 15 seconds of black screen at the beginning; you're not having video problems.

2007 Pegasus Ball Intro - "East Meets West"

Ahhh, "East Meets West"; the ONLY year I finished early. Thanks in large part to the fact that 80% of it is movie clips. It made my life extremely easy that year. Now, "the logo"; or as I called it, my "Yin and Twang". I got the idea for this thing while standing in a fabric store (don't judge me!). I looked over and noticed a bolt of bandana fabric and, focusing in on a paisley, noticed that they look like part of a Yin/Yang symbol. That's when it hit me - a woman not paying attention plowed into me with her buggy. But when I got up off the floor I had the idea to combine a paisley into a Yin/Yang. VOILĂ€!

I drew the paisley in COREL DRAW, into PHOTOSHOP where I applied a weave style to it to make you believe it was real fabric. I then introduced it to it's new friend "Yin". Took that image into VUE where I rendered it into a glass object to give it that final reflective look you just can't get in PHOTOSHOP. Then I animated the sucker in VUE and editted the whole thing in some off-the-shelf video software. There you go kids, don't try this at home.
